Playing Around in Manga Studioby ~lizstaley

I bought a copy of Manga Studio EX4 a few weeks ago and finally got it and my Intuos to play nice together. (For the time being…) Have been trying to figure out some of the tools I specifically wanted it for, and started doodling this after playing with the panel cutter tool. It’s not anything real special, but if I finish it it just may make it to being an exclusive print for a fundraiser I’m going to do here in the next month or two.

So far I am liking MangaStudio. To the point where I’m probably going to at least start drawing certain panels in it after sketching them, then finish up pages in Photoshop. I’m still undecided, and need to test out making word bubbles to see if the difference between my Photoshop word bubbles and Manga Studio word bubbles would be so jarring that it would be really noticeable mid-chapter. If so, I’ll finish out Chapter 6 with Photoshop and then move to Manga Studio for Chapter 7 onward. There are some things I need to get used to about the program though… like the eraser function of my tablet stylus not working with it. (Me: *rubbing with eraser end of stylus* Why is this thing drawing instead of erasing?! Ahhhh!) Also the inking tools are VERY different than my normal inking. Quite delicate even.

But the perspective rulers? Dear gods, I’m in LOVE.
