Sea Monster Speedpaint 061111by ~lizstaley

While asking around for coloring advice, it was suggested to me that I start trying speedpainting. I downloaded suggested speedpainting brushes, looked at a few tutorials, and dove in yesterday with a 30 minute painting. (Well, my timer was set for 45 minutes but I spent probably 15 of those minutes trying to figure out what the brushes did)

Started as just a blue square canvas in Photoshop that I painted a sky on, then noticed the rest looked a bit like water. Was going to try doing a ship on the water but then it turned in to Nessie coming through what I hope looks like fog.

This was fun and I think I'm going to do some more of them. I'd like to commit to doing one a day but sometimes things like that turn out badly for me. LOL

I usually call all sea creatures Nessie anyway.

Yeah. It's always either Nessie or Kraken. The "long, slender thingy" or the "one with tentacles". Heh.
