Hubby and I were going through our finances yesterday and we pretty much discovered that I need to bring in at least $100 every week in order for us to not be completely dead broke all the time. We're just making ends meet right now BARELY, with a little money to put in to savings to start those back up. (We had started saving and then the car needed fixing, so now the savings are dead again) As much as I want it to, my book sales just aren't going too well at the moment because I've been writing the second book rather than promoting the first as much as I probably should... Even though I just came out with Edit 1.5 of the first one and it has a preview of the second one in it, but that's neither here nor there.
So I was thinking about, for now, maybe putting up a commission price list. I've done this several times in the past though and it seems to always get ignored. So I was wondering if there would even be any *interest* in commissioning me first before I go through the trouble. What would you pay if you did have the money to pay me for a drawing?

It does draw in the extra $100ish per week without having to go to a REAL second job.
And even though it can be annoying to draw other peoples ideas, it really has challenged me to try new subject matter, poses and ideas. I've used it to my advantage!
It's gotten me out of a few ruts - creativity ruts and financial ruts.
Good luck with it! Keep me updated if you do come up with a commission price list thingy...
There are so few artists taking them lately it seems.
